Rally for Matthew's Healing and Rehab

Donation protected
Hello Family & Friends,
As many of you may know and those that do not know, my brother Matthew suffered a serious stroke on Sunday, March 2 at his home in New Ulm. After discovering a brain bleed at the ER in New Ulm he was immediately airlifted to Abbott in the Cities. Matthew has been diagnosed with Endocarditis. He developed bacteria on his heart valve which the bacteria traveled to his brain causing the bleed and stroke. He was also recently diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia. Currently Matthew is unable to speak, on a feeding tube. He's able to move limbs and respond by eye contact hand gestures and hand squeezes. Matthew has been bed-ridden since arrival at hospital. Matthew has been unable to work for several week due to his limited vision due to his Leukemia. He will be requiring reha at a Rehabilitation Center near New Ulm which is to be determined due to availabilty. Matthew is going to require months of physical, occupational and speech therapy. He will at some point begin receiving chemotherapy which he was supposed to begin March 3 which this is now on hold. His wife Meredith has been staying in hotel since arrival at Abbott and being with Matthew daily while other Family has been visting as often as possible. Your financial support will graciously and gratefully support on-going medical expenses, hotel expenses and more. Matthew was a dedicated Navy Veteran and proud to serve his country and was active in so much including riding his beloved motorcycle, chilling in his beloved garage, time with his beloved dog and most of all time with his beloved Family and Friends. Matthew is strong and determined to get through this life-changing event in his life. We uncertain for what the future will bring in Matthews recovery but we will remain vigilant and prayerful and hope for the best in Matthew recovery. The Larson Family truly thanks each and every one of you for your support.
