Our dear friend, Matt, has always been the first to show up for his family, his friends, and his community. Now, he needs us to show up for him.

Just a few weeks ago, Matt unexpectedly became seriously ill and received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma. This news has come as a shock to everyone who knows him, and the journey ahead will be long and challenging.

Matt is the proud father of Morgan and Kade, a role he treasures more than anything. He is a Hancock graduate, a former Finlandia University softball and baseball coach, and a dedicated college advisor who has touched countless lives through his guidance and encouragement. Known for his love of the U.P., his Sunday Fundays, and his constant involvement in the community, Matt has always lived life with energy, generosity, and heart.

Now, as he faces this difficult battle, we want to rally around him the way he has always rallied around others. Medical expenses, travel, and the costs of care can quickly become overwhelming, and your support will allow Matt to focus on what matters most—his fight and his family.
