Mason’s road to recovery

Well, this is a post I never thought I'd have to make. I'm sure some may have heard already, so I just wanted to clear the air.
**Thursday 2/6, Mason was shot in the abdomen on his right side.** It was an accidental shooting.
The doctors initially told us he was hit in the liver, and no other major organs had been hit.
After his first surgery, they did a CT scan. The results weren't so good. He has three major concerns: his liver, which they think will heal on its own over time; he ruptured his mesentery, which houses all of his intestines; and he broke his L4 in his spine. As of right now, he is paralyzed in his right leg.
**We are praying that over time as the swelling goes down, he will regain some movement.**
- Moving forward, we will need help with unexpected medical bills, missing work, and trying to get Mason to the best physical therapy center, if it’ll mean he’ll have a chance of walking again.
