Mark was attempting to patch a hole in the upper loft of their barn, when the ladder he was on fell. He hit his head, and broke his left foot when it went between the rungs. The ER staff conceded they have never seen a break like this (talus bone broken and dislocated to the rear of his foot) but after a long, emergency surgery last night, the hope is that the bone repair can happen, blood flow be restored, and nerve impingement reduced.
With that said, the doctor explained that Mark will be non-weight bearing for 3 months. As the owner of a property maintenance business and the sole provider for their family, you can imagine the stress this news caused. So if you're able to provide any monetary support at this time I know it would be appreciated beyond measure.
If you know Mark you know he would NEVER ask, or expect support, but he would be the first one to give it should someone else be in this position.
