Rally for Marisa: Help her cancer battle after childbirth

My 34-year-old sister, Marisa, was diagnosed with a rare nasopharyngeal cancer with a rare subtype, 3 weeks after having her 2nd baby. She had a swollen lymph node towards the end of her pregnancy that was ultrasounded and ultimately biopsied after she delivered her 2nd son. She has a 3-year-old son at home as well.

Due to the cancer type, going outside of Montana is necessary for treatment. Chemo will be necessary and if the cancer is localized, chemo and radiation will be necessary. We are hopeful that the cancer is localized; however, we will not know more until scans next week.

This has hit our family extremely hard as we lost our father to cancer just over 7 years ago. This is compounded with the recent birth of her son and the holidays that should be a happy period. We are hopeful to help lighten the burden during this time and collect support for her. Please consider anything you are able from verbal gestures of support, prayer, or whatever you are able during this extremely difficult period.
