Maria was not only a loving, supportive mother but an aunt to so many. She always opened up her home to everybody with a warm smile and big heart. In 2022, Maria was diagnosed with abdominal cancer. She has been a surviving warrior for a couple of years. Despite the many rounds of radiation and chemo, her cancer has metastasized to her bones. Maria was placed on hospice on 12/9/24 and she’s deteriorating really fast. During this hard time, we are asking for anybody and everybody who can contribute in any way.

She is leaving behind a wonderful son who is a Ball State graduate and has been by her side since day one. Because of his dedication to taking care of his mom, he has put his career aside. She's also leaving behind a sweet young 17-year-old daughter who adores her mother very much. Maria not only leaves 2 beautiful children but also many nieces and nephews who saw her as a second mother, and siblings who reside in the U.S. and Mexico.
