Hello everyone. Thank you for visiting this GoFundMe for Maria Fernandez.

Maria is a very valuable and cherished friend and leader. Definitely means a lot to a lot of us in the community and at work.

Recently, she’s had to have 2 surgeries involving gallstones and gallbladder removal. During the processes, she’s also caught a virus, and so she’s had to spend a lot more days in the hospital than she anticipated at first.

Needless to say, this takes a heavy toll on anyone’s finances, not being at work and accumulating medical bills. She’s already used her resources to try to mitigate this, but that was before she knew she’d be staying more than 3 days. As of today, she’s been there 9 days. She was admitted on the 16th of April.

We’re starting the goal at $5,000, but I’d encourage to go beyond that as we don’t know how long she’ll still be there for or what the costs will come out to.

Any amount of help would be appreciated of course and we’re all very thankful for. Please also keep Maria in prayer.
