Hello, my name is Heather Carter, I am a friend of Shelley and Howard Tarter. Family, friends and racing community…I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Tarter family. As many of you know, Mama Tarter has recently been diagnosed with cancer which she shared on her Facebook page. She has recently undergone a major surgery and is looking at weeks and months of treatment and recovery ahead. Unfortunately, Shelley has been readmitted to UC Davis, Medical Center for some unforeseen complications requiring her to have another surgery. The GoFundMe I’ve set up will go directly to Shelley and Howard towards the piling expenses they have already had to face and will continue to face. In the immediate future, the funds raised will be going towards gas, hotel expenses, food, and anything else needed while Shelley is in and out of the hospital and traveling back-and-forth to Sacramento.
