My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and our world changed overnight. She will need surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy in the months ahead. As many of you know, she’s never been the type to slow down—she escaped Vietnam, built a life here with my dad, and together they raised four kids while she worked 60+ hours a week to keep our family going.

Everyone who knows my mom knows her as Mama Nguyen—the loving, giving woman who shows up for everyone. She has spent her entire life taking care of others without ever asking for anything in return. Now it’s our turn to take care of her.

The treatments will be long and difficult, and the financial pressure is already growing. She should be focusing on recovery, resting, and regaining her strength—not worrying about working through pain just to stay afloat.
