This is a fundraiser for the most incredible, kind, and inspiring nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, Mairead Ryan. Mairead was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at 8 years old and was treated at MSK Kids (the MSK pediatric platform) and beat cancer. Mairead fulfilled her lifelong dream of giving back to kids like her by becoming a nurse on the very floor she was treated on as a child. After several years of working at MSK Kids and at only 26 years old, Mairead is faced with a second cancer diagnosis: Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Mairead has been a champion for the Breast Cancer community having fundraised over $35,000 for breast cancer research. While she is determined to return to work while still undergoing treatment herself, she has been unable to work since her diagnosis on February 12th, 2024. She is a true inspiration to every single child, family member, and coworker at MSK Kids who knows the true depths of her strength.
