On August 23, 2025, our world was turned upside down when my daughter, Madelynn “Maddy”, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. She was riding as a passenger with her fiancé,
Matt, when she lost her grip and fell from the back of the motorcycle.
In a split second, everything changed. As she fell, Maddy was pulled into the back tire, causing the rear foot peg to pierce deeply into her thigh and break off inside. She was dragged nearly 40 feet before Matt was able to bring the motorcycle to a stop.
Maddy sustained serious injuries that have already required two surgeries and faces the possibility of needing skin grafts due to the severe road rash that covers much of her body. Her helmet, now cracked and heavily damaged, is the reason she’s still here with us today. By the grace of God, her life was spared.
If you know Maddy, you know she is one of the kindest, most hardworking, and selfless young women you will ever meet. At just 20 years old, she’s already accomplished so much. She works full-time as a manager at Chipotle while also being a full-time student, balancing school, work, and life with incredible determination.
In November 2024, Maddy and Matt moved into their first home together and have been working so hard to build a life for themselves. They’ve been completely responsible for all their bills, their mortgage, utilities, car payments, insurance, and groceries, never once asking for help.
But this accident has changed everything. Due to her injuries, Maddy will be unable to work for at least the next six months, leaving her and Matt facing an overwhelming financial strain. Despite their careful planning and hard work, the sudden loss of Maddy’s income puts them at risk of losing the life they’ve worked so hard to create.
Maddy has never been one to ask for help, she has always worked for everything she wants and needs. But right now, she needs us. So many people have reached out, asking how they can support her, and this is the best way to help:
We are asking for donations to help relieve the financial burden Maddy and Matt are now facing. Your contribution will go directly toward their mortgage, utilities, car payments, insurance, groceries, and medical expenses during this long recovery journey.
No donation is too small, and every single prayer, share, and kind word makes a difference. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us support Maddy as she fights to heal, physically, emotionally, and financially.
