Hi- I’m Ruby and I’m doing another fundraiser on behalf of my sibling, Chlo. We are hoping to raise funds for their lovely kitty, Macki, who needs to have a time-sensitive and life-prolonging surgery.

Macki is an amazing emotional support animal to Chlo that was recently given emergency care. Upon discovery that he has a mass in his intestines, he was recommended surgery to remove it and thus stage the mass and identify it. Chlo was able to raise $4000 in the last fundraiser, but his surgery cost is $8000.

Chlo graduated college this week and while they work incredibly hard, it is unattainable for them to pay the full sum at this time. As their older sibling, I look at Chlo with so much love and desire to help. I wish I could pay for the whole surgery for them. I wish that this wasn’t happening to them, especially during such a transient time of acclimating to adult life. I’m hoping that with community support, we can help them alleviate the financial stress that comes with Macki’s surgery.

His other options besides the surgery are palliative care and eventually humane euthanasia. Helping him receive this surgery will prolong his life and help Chlo have more precious time with him.
