Rally for Luigi's Recovery and Support

Luigi was struck by a car about 2 am on Sunday, May 4th, 2025. He stopped on the side of the road to look for something that was dropped. He got out of the vehicle to look for it and went around to the passenger side, when came back around, he was behind his truck when he noticed a car coming. He soon realized that this vehicle was not slowing down, the car hit him dead on its driver side front headlight area, which sent him flying over to the other side of the road the car was estimated to be going about 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

He was transported by ambulance to Thedacare Neenah Trauma Unit, where they took great care of him and medical staff told him he definitely has a Guardian Angel who was looking over him. They also said most people in his situation sadly don’t make it, Luigi is convinced his Guardian Angel is his Mom.

Luigi ended up with his head getting scalped from the road, extreme bruising and road rash on his legs, road rash on his stomach, arms and hands. An MRI later on and found extensive injuries, including tears of the medial and lateral menisci, ACL, MCL, LCL and fibular collateral ligament, and likely medial patellofemoral ligament, as well as cartilage damage and bone bruises, a total reconstruction of his knee. Luigi found out that the driver was intoxicated, and as of now only charged with only an OWI.

Despite being employed full time with insurance benefits as well as vehicle insurance Luigi faces not only a long road to recovery physically but financially as well. Anyone who knows Luigi knows he is a kind, caring, gentle giant who is always helping and looking out for others and he now need our help.
