Hi!

My name is Jenikka. Logan and I became fast friends when we met on a local mom's Facebook group and quickly bonded over all things to do with being a mom and wife, and love for nature, books, and life.

We got our families together and became instantly like a big extended family!

Logan & Dylan were so excited when they got pregnant with their second baby this past fall. Everything was going well and they found out they were having another boy due mid-August. Everything was on track and looked great. Logan went in for her weekly checkup and found out that baby boy was measuring small. After NST and Doppler testing, she was scheduled for an emergency induction as baby boy was measuring in the 1% for size. While she was almost 38 weeks along, he was showing signs of not growing.

After 24 hours of induction and labor, he was finally born! While it is still not clear why he stopped growing, he only weighed just over 4 pounds. He was having a hard time maintaining oxygen levels and latching on to eat. They tried a feeding tube, but that was also causing a breathing issue. So they discharged Logan and transferred baby up to Tacoma for a higher level of care where baby is in the NICU and undergoing testing and different therapies to build his strength.

For now, Logan and baby are safe! Dylan has been driving in-between Centralia and Tacoma to be with their older son and going up to be with Logan and baby several times each day. Bills are adding up and they really could use extra help during this time to get baby strong enough to discharge from the hospital so they can all rest and recover at home and bond as a new family of 4. ✨️
