Update: Lisa is still in the hospital, she has been in the hospital since 1/19/25. She was transferred to Hershey medical center where she has been since 2/10/25.

Her husband Craig has taken leave under unpaid FMLA so he is able to be there to support his wife through this.

My name is Leah. I have started this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother-in-law, Lisa Daywalt, and her husband, Craig. On Christmas Eve, after being admitted to the hospital, Lisa was diagnosed with an unspecified, aggressive and wide spread carcinoma.

Lisa is still fighting with everything she has!

Lisa stands firm in her faith, and she clings to God as her Source and her Healer. We too stand with her in faith!

This GoFundMe is being set up due to that outpouring of love and concern. Many have been asking how they can help. The financial burden that comes with a cancer diagnosis can be crippling, especially as Lisa will no longer be able to work and provide an income for her household of 6.

The hope is to lighten this financial burden so Lisa and her husband, Craig, can focus on what matters most, Lisa’s health. Lisa is a mother to 2 (plus 2 bonus kids), a Grammy to 4, she is a friend to all, and has been fiercely loyal to the ones she loves. She has a whole lot of life to live. It’s been encouraging to see the way her family, church family, work family, and friends have just rallied around her! If you cannot financially contribute, please share.
