Hi friends and family,

On August 12th, our daughter Lydia was born. She’s a beautiful blessing and we’re so grateful she’s here and healthy—but the weeks following her arrival have been some of the hardest we’ve faced.

Because my employer doesn’t offer paternity leave, and the hospital situation left my paycheck 38 hours short, we were already stretched thin financially. To try and make up the difference, I picked up a second job bouncing at night for cash, and we even sold my old truck to help cover expenses.

Then, right after coming home from the hospital, both of our family vehicles broke down just days apart:

My Ford Edge’s alternator failed, leaving me without reliable transportation to work.

Jillian’s Dodge Journey developed a severe alignment issue (the steering wheel is crooked), and eventually it will also need a fuel injector replaced.

The timing could not have been worse, and it’s been unbelievably stressful. Without at least one dependable vehicle, it makes it difficult to get to work, take Jillian to her appointments, and safely get Lily and baby Lydia where they need to go.

We’ve been doing everything we can, but these back-to-back hits are more than we can catch up on alone right now. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Every dollar raised will go directly toward repairing our vehicles so we can stay safe, get to work, and keep our family moving forward.
