For those of you who know the Smith family, you have probably been blessed to have them RALLY for you in one way or another during a time of need. Never asking for anything in return, other than for all of us to always be taken care of and happy... The time has come where we need to come together to RALLY for them!

Yesterday, Mary and Dale's oldest daughter Lily woke up with her right eye completely swollen shut. They immediately took her to the hospital where she was admitted and given multiple rounds of antibiotics, and had an MRI/CAT SCAN. Lily was diagnosed with an abscess behind her right eye called "Ocular Cellulitis". This is a very serious condition that requires IMMEDIATE medical attention and monitoring. They kept her overnight and unfortunately her swelling is only worsening.

This morning, Lily was transferred to a second hospital via ambulance where they have continued to keep an eye on her swelling. At this time she is losing movement in her eye due to the increased swelling. Unfortunately, there is not a specialist at this hospital that can perform surgery for her specific condition.

As of this afternoon, Lily is waiting to be transferred to a children's hospital that is 2 hours away from home. There she will be seen by a specialist to see if she will need surgery. Right now, she is sitting at about an 80% chance of needing surgery as her swelling has not gone down and is only increasing. At this time WE DO NOT KNOW how long Lily will be hospitalized, or what the finality of this will look like.

This is where we all come in... The Smith family DOES NOT currently have health insurance and this is a tremendous unexpected cost to their family.

Right now they are looking at costs from multiple ambulance rides, the stay at multiple hospitals, medications/antibiotics, travel costs, impending surgery costs and MORE.

Mary and Dale are NEVER the type of people to ask for anything from anyone of us! Right now THEY NEED US AND IT'S TIME TO RALLY!! Anything that can be donated to help would be life changing in this current situation.
