Hi everyone,

We are writing this on behalf of our dear friends, Jill and Laurent, and their amazing 4-year-old daughter, Lilou. If you’ve ever met Lilou, you know how full of life, joy, and laughter she is. Right now, she’s in the fight of her young life, and her family needs our help.

It all started last Sunday when Lilou woke up limping, complaining of leg pain, and later developed a fever. Concerned, her parents took her to the ER the next day, where doctors believed it was transientsynovitis—a temporary condition they said would resolve with Tylenol and Motrin.

But Lilou wasn’t getting better. Her parents trusted their instincts and returned to her pediatrician, who immediately recognized it was something much more serious. They rushed Lilou back to the ER, where tests revealed a heartbreaking diagnosis: osteomyelitis of the femur.

Lilou was transferred to another hospital that night, who is no longer contracted with her insurance, where her condition worsened. She underwent surgery to drain the infection from her bone and was diagnosed with sepsis and MRSA—serious, life-threatening complications. This sweet little girl, who was once running and playing, was unable to move any part of her body when she arrived. Thankfully, after days of treatment, Lilou is showing signs of improvement—she’s slowly starting to move her arms and head!

Lilou is fighting so hard, but this journey is far from over. She requires ongoing IV antibiotics, physical therapy, and an extended hospital stay to ensure she recovers fully. Her parents have been by her side every second. Between hospital bills, medications, and lost wages from time off work, the expenses are piling up.

That’s where we come in. I’m asking our community to rally around Lilou and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Every single donation will go directly toward Lilou’s medical care and helping her family navigate the challenges ahead.
