A few weeks ago, Lex’s life changed in an instant. While standing at street corner with her scooter, she was the victim of a hit-and-run. The driver hit her, left her in the street, and sped away. She was nearly hit again before another driver stopped, called 911, and stayed by her side until help arrived.

Lex is incredibly lucky to be alive, but she’s now facing multiple surgeries, a long road to recovery, and likely lasting effects from the accident. To make things even harder, she had just been laid off and has no income or safety net. On top of healing, she’s trying to cover medical bills, living expenses, and care for her two beloved pets, Brie and Pierce.

The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming—and because police aren’t pursuing an investigation, Lex may never see justice for what happened.
