Help Levi Cross medical and rehab

Donation protected
Sixteen year-old Levi Cross was critically injured on May 28th during a motocross race in Kansas City. He sustained a severe brain injury consisting of a subdural hematoma with a mid-line shift, and a broken nose.

Levi and his family need our help. But they are too humble and would never ask for it. That’s why this group from the racing community has started a GOFUNDME page on their behalf. Levi’s dad, Bill is self-employed and the sole provider for this beautiful family of seven. As Bill attends to Levi and the rest of his family at this incredibly difficult time, he is unable to maintain his normal work schedule. Mounting medical bills and the normal expenses of life are adding up. Despite everything he is dealing with, Bill has been leaving the hospital in order to put in as many hours as he can to support his family.

While we admire his strength and tremendous work ethic, we want to do whatever we can to make sure Bill can spend more time with his family – both at the hospital and at home - while Levi continues his recovery. This is why we have banded together to help raise money while Levi continues his recovery. We are asking the motocross community, as well as our extended families, friends and church communities to donate. Every bit helps and we thank you for every prayer, dollar and positive wish for a full recovery.

From his mom on June 4th ...”A week ago today our lives changed. It was the scariest moment I have ever experienced and a true test of faith. These pictures were very difficult to take but I know they’ll be important for Levi to look at down the road. As I post these pictures today I am overjoyed with the great progress he has made! The last two days have been good days for Levi. The doctors and nurses are just in awe at his progress… they literally said he doesn't fit our medical books because injuries of this magnitude rarely see such quick improvement, if there is improvement at all. It has truly been a miracle. Obviously, the road ahead will be difficult, but we can rejoice and know God and Levi have got this!”

From his sister on June 4th …”If you’ve never witnessed a miracle, but you know Levi Cross, now you can say you have truly been a part of one! He is a living, breathing miracle! Seven days ago was the worst day of my life by far. For a moment I thought that I was going to lose my best friend. It's incredible how fast your life can change in just an instant. But with faith and the power of prayer, the Lord has truly prevailed. Levi is doing what I thought to be physically impossible. He is a true inspiration and a testament to how REAL is our God! Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers and taking care of our dear Levi!”

Despite the truly amazing progress Levi has made, his road to recovery will be a long one. Doctors expect Levi to remain hospitalized for at least a few more weeks. After his release, he can expect extensive physical therapy for 8-12 months or longer. The Cross family needs our help. Please share this with as many people as you can, especially those in your motocross and church families. Any support you can offer will go a long way in helping the Cross family in their time of need!
