When Helping a domestic abuse victim goes wrong..
But she is safe , I am safe and he is in jail..
Details...
So I was going home and there was a Ford Bronco in the middle of the road. I pulled beside them and asked if they needed help. The driver, a female, replied, 'He's abusing me.' I said, 'You don't need to be doing that.' They drove off and then stopped again. She jumped out and started walking towards my truck while he got in the driver's side of the Bronco. She jumped in. I was already on the phone with 911. The operator told me to pull over, so I did. She then jumped out and started running up the street, then jumped into the woods. I then saw the Bronco backing down towards my truck. He got out and came to my driver's door and punched the glass. I sped off to get away, and he started chasing me. When I looked in my rearview mirror, he slammed into the back of me. I was already up to 40 mph. I fishtailed but held it together and lost him, all while still being on the phone with 911. I ended up at Cohutta Overlook while waiting for the police to arrive.
As a community, let's rally to help Lee.
