This all started the night of December 16th and it turned into something way bigger than we ever could have imagined. LeAnn went into Abbott Urgent Care at 2 am because of breathing troubles and was unable to get control of her breathing. Later that day on December 17th she was transported to Abbott Northwestern Hospital which was then turned into her being on a ventilator and getting on VVECMO. Days later she was then transported to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. After almost 14 days of adjusting sedatives and other medications we were able to wake her. With time on our sides we were able to get her strong enough to start speaking with us and even got her to walking around the ICU unit. We are able to proudly say now she is on the lung transplant list.
We are wanting to start raising money for LeAnn to help with medical expenses. This money will be going towards her insurance deductible, future medications, and toward future medical appointments.
LeAnn still has a long way to recovery. She will be in Rochester for quite some time after the lung transplant. She will have physical therapy everyday, a caretaker to help her with basic needs as well as some occupational therapy too.
Anything big or small can make a difference for my mom and her road to recovery.
