My name is Lauren White and the past 8 months have been a series of unfortunate events which has been extremely difficult for me. I'm at a point where I feel I have hit rock bottom, and I don't know how to recover. I have been the sole provider of my household for 12 years and have had virtually no financial support system throughout this time.

In November 2024, I had renovations done to my home to allow for wheelchair accessibility. My mother lived with me and was wheelchair-bound. This was a huge need to make the home safe for her. To cover the costs, I took out a second mortgage loan.

On February 5, my mother unexpectedly passed away. Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance, and I was not prepared for the expenses for her arrangements. To lay her to rest, I was forced to take out yet another loan.

On May 24th, I was woken by my dog of 13 years having a seizure. I rushed her to the vet. She subsequently passed away on May 27th. The costs for this event were charged on a credit card.

On June 3rd, I was let go from my full-time job of 3 years. My sole income... gone. My entire livelihood was taken away from me. How will I pay the mortgage? How will I pay for the recent debts incurred? What about lights, water, food, etc.?

On June 4th, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Less than 24 hours after losing my job and health benefits. We are currently waiting on more test results to determine a treatment plan. As of now, I don't know estimated costs, but I know that it will be beyond what I can handle.

At this very moment... I am unsure of what my future holds. My goal here is to keep a roof over my head, meet basic needs, and make it to treatment. At this point, I need help to do this.

I have never been one to ask for help. I have never wanted sympathy nor to be seen as weak. These last few months have broken me to a point that I feel I have no choice but to reach out for help from others. Any amount helps. I am grateful for every thought, prayer, or donation that is provided.
