Rally for Kyle's Recovery and Relief

Hello family and friends, I write this today for my brother Kyle Voigt. On March 5th, Kyle was diagnosed with diverticulitis and given oral antibiotics to treat the infection. On the morning of March 9th, Kyle’s body was so inflamed that it caused his colon to burst, and he was immediately admitted to the hospital. This micro perforation in turn caused him to be diagnosed with several abscesses in his colon. He was initially hospitalized for 11 days dealing with all the complications of the infection. On March 17th, it was decided that they would place a surgical drain in the abscesses, with hopes of avoiding surgery. Upon a follow-up abscessogram on March 24th, it was determined that the drain was not working and that things had gotten worse. Kyle was contacted and advised to check into the ER immediately once again. It has been discussed and my brother will have surgery on March 25 to remove part of his colon. This has been a long road already for Kyle and his family, and there is still a long road ahead. The costs for the hospital stays, CT scans, ER visits, surgical drain, and the surgery will be a very tough burden for their family to carry. I am asking anyone who can give to please help out this amazing family, so Kyle’s healing can be their main focus. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
