Rally for Kyle: Firefighter Fighting for his Arm and Future.

Kyle is the kind of person who shows up for everyone. As a firefighter, a friend, and someone who lives life fully, he’s always been the first to step in when others need help. In November 2025, he suddenly found himself facing something no one could have prepared for.

Kyle was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer called Pseudomyogenic Hemangioendothelioma (PHE). Fewer than 250 people worldwide have ever been diagnosed with this disease. Because it is so rare, there is no clear treatment roadmap. Many oncologists have never seen it, and there is no established best course of action.

The initial recommendation at Fred Hutch in Seattle was devastating: consider an arm amputation as the only way to fully stop the spread of the disease. The tumor is in Kyle’s left wrist with lesions up his arm. Losing his arm would not only end his firefighting career but dramatically change his life as he knows it.

Determined to explore every possible option, Kyle and Tenny sought opinions from leading cancer centers across the country. After traveling to MD Anderson in Houston and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, they found the Dana-Farber team to have the most experience with this rare tumor. Just as importantly, this team is committed to weighing every decision against Kyle’s long-term quality of life. Their shared goal is clear: do everything possible to keep amputation off the table and prevent this from becoming life-threatening.

Because Kyle’s specialty team is based in Boston, he and Tenny will need to travel there every few months for ongoing scans and evaluations, while continuing treatment locally at Fred Hutch.

Alongside traditional treatment, Tenny has devoted herself to researching any and all additional supportive therapies that focus on root healing, things like: nutrition, detoxification, oxygenation, supplementation, nervous system regulation, and more. These integrative approaches are designed to strengthen Kyle’s immune system to create an internal environment to starve cancer cells, but unfortunately, insurance does not cover them.

This fundraiser is to help ease the financial burden of this journey so Kyle and Tennyson can pursue every therapy available.

Donations will help cover:

• Travel to Boston for follow-up appointments
• Medications and supplements not covered by insurance
• Supportive and integrative therapies essential to healing
• Private-pay counseling and emotional support

Kyle lives by the motto "Life is Good," his favorite motto and clothing brand. Anyone who knows him knows this is how he shows up in the world—always with a constant smile and appreciation for life. Even now, facing the scariest and most frightening chapter, he shows up with strength and the desire to do everything possible. Any amount you are able to contribute helps to lighten the financial barriers limiting Kyle’s care or his path toward full healing.

Thank you for being part of their support system, and for the love, prayers, and encouragement you continue to send. It means more than you know.
