Paws for Kiba: Cover His ER Costs
Donation protected
Kiba was not just your typical husky. Usually pretty quiet and aloof but definitely vivacious and lively. A steadfast and loyal friend. His little body changed through the years from a playful and chaotic puppy, to a snuggly study partner for his Daddy, to a stoic, defiant, and proud adult. He loved long walks and pulling his dad on the skateboard. His dad spared no expense throughout his life and always followed the best advice, even having TPLO surgery last year so Kiba could get back to playing as usual.
Sadly, recently he stopped eating for a week and started to show many symptoms of distress. We rushed him to the urgent care and then later the ER as his stomach began to swell and it became more apparent that things were very very wrong. We received a roller coaster of news. From being told to expect the worst, to being told they didn’t think it was mass related and just GDV, to finding out it definitely WAS mass related. He spent four days in the ER but has continued to decline after being sent home. Kiba has gone through so much in the last week and we continue to only want what is best for him.
We did everything that was in his best interest and it has left us very short on funds. We do not regret helping him and would do the same thing again if the we had to, but the reality of finances is hitting rather like a freight train. Any assistance would be appreciated to help us cover the cost of medical services rendered and also paying for a good tribute and end of life.
