Rally for Kelly: Aid Her Recovery and Family

Our community health worker is in dire need of our support. Kelly Daigler, a 47 year old compassionate C.N.A. had a horrific automobile accident on October 3, 2024. During her trauma assessment, Kelly was found to have a Glioblastoma. Her several broken bones will heal with time, and although the brain tumor has been partially removed is still very threatening to Kelly’s recovery. Kelly is unable to communicate with her family , she is at SUNY Upstate Medical University which is approximately two hours away from her children, her parents and her community.

Kelly has worked in health care for most of her adult life, if you have a loved one in any of the local nursing homes, you have probably met Kelly. She has a vibrant personality, always ready and willing to lend a hand when needed and is dedicated to her patients with such a sweet and genuine personality. She also does private home care cases within and around Orleans County. Kelly is very active in our health care system and takes so much pride in being able to care for others.

Now is our time to take care of her and her family. This fund was created to assist her family with travel expenses to visit her as well as medical bills because we all know they are going to be piling up quickly . Kelly’s family is working hard to get her moved closer to home when she is medically stable enough to transport, but until then they have a 2 hour drive one way to see her. Kelly will have bills/ personal expenses to cover while she is hospitalized and in recovery, these funds will be used to assist her family in covering those expenses .

This is our time to rally for one of our own; the one who makes us laugh and cry at the same time. The one who refers to your family as her own, the one who picks up a shift when you can’t find anyone else to take it. The one who is bold, beautiful and truly kind! Kelly and her family need not only funds but help to get through this very difficult time, and lots of prayers.
