Help Support Kelli Griffin During Her Heart Surgery Recovery

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out today to help support someone who has touched my life and the lives of so many others with her boundless kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Kelli Griffin is one of the most compassionate and caring people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. She has a congenital heart disease condition and is about to undergo her second major heart surgery—this one being even more challenging than the last.

What makes Kelli Griffin so special is not just her incredible work in the Pediatric clinic, where she cares for others, has some of the best pediatric patients that she loves more than anything but the way she continuously puts others' needs ahead of her own. She’s the kind of person who has spent countless hours helping and comforting others, being there for the pediatric families that have lost a child, she has grieved with them been there for them. She has also helped save the lives of their precious babies as well in this congenital heart space. She always there with a smile, a kind word, or a listening ear. The love she gives to her patients, her family, and everyone around her is immeasurable.

Now, it’s our turn to give back to her.

This surgery is going to be a major financial burden on Kelli and her family. The recovery will require her to be out of state for a month or more, followed by extended recovery time at home. Despite working at an amazing clinic, Kelli doesn’t have enough PTO or sick leave to cover the time away from work—especially when she also needs to care for her two beautiful boys, who mean the world to her, and her loving husband who is understandably worried sick about this surgery.

While Kelli would never ask for help herself, I’m doing this on her behalf because she needs it, and I know it would mean the world to her. Kelli is incredibly humble and would never want anyone to feel obligated to donate. She’s the first to care for others, but it’s time for us to show her the same love and support she’s shown so many of us.

The financial burden of medical expenses, time away from work, and the need for her family to focus on her recovery is overwhelming. Any contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping this amazing family get through this difficult time without the added stress of financial hardship.
