Rally for Kayson: Your Kindness Makes a Difference

Donation protected
With the blessing of my best friend, Angie Taylor, this page has come to life, and when life altering events happen, we rally around that family and give them our utmost love and support. And what better way to show that love and support, not only through our powerful prayers and good thoughts, but by our means of generous giving through a well supported GoFundMe page!

In light of the recent medical event that occurred to Kayson this week, it’s our time to lift the Taylors up and help relieve the burden of any financial stress during a time such as this so they can focus solely on their son and not have the worry of medical expenses, lodging, gas, food and many other accommodations that require you to be away from home to be with your child every waking moment.

So, here is Kayson’s story….

On Tuesday, October 1st, it was just another ordinary day for him. His mom, Angie, dropped him off at school to catch the bus bound for Odebolt and said, “I love you, buddy”, to which Kayson replied as he was climbing out of the van, “love you too, mom”, and off he ran.

Just a few short hours later, Angie got a call from our school nurse that no parent should ever have to endure. When you hear the words, “Angie, this is Tiffany, we’re doing CPR on Kayson”….your heart drops out of your chest.

He was simply being a 13 year old kid, participating in PE class, when he turned to his friend after just completing a run on the track and said, “I’m going to pass out”, and collapsed.

By the grace of God, his friend reacted quickly, grabbed Kayson’s T1D bag thinking it was blood sugar related and yelled for teachers to come to his aid. CPR was administered while the AED was put in place and advised to shock, not only once, but twice.

After an ambulance ride and being airlifted, Kayson now lays in a hospital bed in Omaha, strapped to numerous machines, sedated and intubated with no clear answers as to why this happened.

This kid is tough as nails and a true fighter, I have no doubt in my mind that he will come out of this kicking and screaming and asking for his football jersey!

So, please, find it in your hearts to donate to this amazing family in any way that you can. Any amount will be greatly appreciated and utilized for medical expenses, gas, lodging, food and whatever else they will need to get through this.

Let’s support Kris, Angie, Kaleb, Aubrey and our fighter, Kayson by showing them our small town hospitality and generosity!

Please share this page and show them how much we care and gather around our people in times like these. If you would rather give in other ways such as gas or gift cards, cash, etc., you can reach out to me via Facebook messenger and I will personally get that to them as well.

Thank you kindly,
Kayla Baker
