Our Cincinnati soccer family needs your support.
This August, longtime teammate Kai Mbayo suffered a devastating Achilles tendon tear during practice as our HCC Cincinnati teams prepared for the annual Asheville tournament. Since then, Kai has endured two surgeries, weeks on an oxygen machine, and mounting complications. His six-inch incision still refuses to close, forcing him to seek specialized wound care.
Despite insurance, Kai’s medical bills have already climbed over $4,800—and costs continue to rise daily. Every appointment, every piece of equipment, every treatment adds to the burden.
⚽ Kai has given so much to our soccer community over the years. Now it’s our turn to rally for him. This could happen to any of us, and together we can make sure Kai doesn’t face this fight alone.
He still dreams of stepping back onto the field, but right now he needs us. Your donation—no matter the size—will make an immediate difference. Please don’t wait. Kai needs urgent help today.
Join me in supporting Kai. Let’s show him the strength of our community and help him heal.
Kai is last player in row one on the right in the above team picture.
