The Raising Paddles team is looking to do something big for one of our own & we'd love your support in doing so!

For those of you who don't know, one of our team members, Julia, is a refugee from Ukraine who came to the States to avoid the war happening in her country. While Julia was able to seek out safety here in the U.S., her husband and other friends and family are still living back in Ukraine.

Julia is an extremely dedicated and hardworking individual. She accompanies our auctioneers at various fundraising events and rallies behind the non-profits' causes to help execute their fundraising goals. She goes above and beyond to understand the mission of each non-profit and to provide them with stellar service before, during, and after their fundraising events.

Julia often saves the money she earns working with Raising Paddles to send back to her family and friends in Ukraine. Recently, Julia lost a dear friend, Alexander, in the war, and he left behind his wife, Ira, and their 3-year-old daughter. Upon receiving this news, Julia signed on to add even more work to her plate so she can increase the amount of money she is able to send to Ira and her daughter.

Here's where the power of community comes in: We are looking to raise money to present to Julia, so she can make a donation to her friend and other family members who are struggling to stay afloat during such unimaginable struggle. We, as a team at Raising Paddles, believe in rallying behind our team members and outside causes alike to be a helping hand. We would be beyond grateful to share with Julia that beyond her Raising Paddles family, others that she has impacted or who simply care have come together to support her desire to support others.
