Friends, neighbors, and the Broad Ripple community, we need your help! John Yantis, a beloved member of our community and a friend to many, is facing an unexpected and challenging medical crisis. John has been unable to work for the past 30 days, and now more than ever, he needs our support. Let's join together to help John focus on his recovery instead of worrying about financial burdens.

The Struggle

On May 10th, 2023, John was admitted to the hospital and rushed into emergency surgery, where doctors discovered a slipped disc pinching his spinal cord below the T8. Fortunately, the surgery went well, but due to nerve damage in his legs, John will be unable to work for another 4-6 weeks. As a longtime bartender at the Alley Cat and a former Board of Directors member of the BRVA, John's absence is deeply felt in the Broad Ripple community.

The Need

As a result of his medical condition, John is now facing thousands of dollars in medical bills and living expenses, not to mention the additional costs for medication, food, and other daily necessities. Our initial goal is to raise $5,000 to help alleviate John's financial burden and allow him to focus on his recovery.
