Rally for Jim: Aid After Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Duff Durieu. I’m starting this fundraiser for my best friend and business partner. Jim was in a motorcycle accident on June 28, 2025. He was riding with a group of people when they came around a corner and slipped on loose gravel. His bike started fishtailing, and he lost control. He tried to straighten the bike, but he went off the road. The front tire came in contact with the culvert, and he flipped over the handlebars, landing on his head. Thank God he was wearing a helmet, or chances are he would not be here today.
He has a broken leg which required surgery and pins, stitches in his mouth, and a fracture in his neck, among other injuries, including various cuts and scrapes. His face is very, very swollen and almost unrecognizable at this point.
Jim has been a carpet installer for over 35 years, and as of right now, he is unable to work for at least three months. I am asking friends, family, and the riding community for any help they can provide for him and his family. Jim has a wife and two children he is providing for, as he is the main breadwinner of the family. Jim not working will put a huge strain on his family due to medical expenses, rehab, and everyday bills such as mortgages, etc.
Jim loves to ride. He has done so many benefit runs, charity runs, etc., to do his part in helping when needed, and now I’m asking for help for him.
I understand things are tight for everyone right now, but anything you can do or give will be extremely helpful and appreciated. If you cannot donate, please pray for his family and himself for a speedy and good recovery.
Thank you in advance for any and all help provided.
