Hi loves, it’s ya girl Jillian writing to you from the hospital. You all know me as vibrant, healthy and always shining healing and love on everyone. I live a life of health and wellness, and think it’s so vital to take care of ourselves. Thats why this is all a shock, and completely perplexing.

This past week I was feeling strange, my heart rate elevated, out of breath doing simple tasks and my right leg was in a lot of pain below the knee to the point I was having a hard time walking. The pain got worse and eventually my leg started swelling, accompanied by shorter breath and faster heartbeat. I kept teaching and doing my best to take care of y’all, thinking it was just a pulled muscle or something. I went to the doctor on Sunday and they ran some tests and confirmed that I was showing extreme signs of deep vein thrombosis and a pulmonary embolism and instructed me to head to the ER immediately as I could go into cardiac arrest at any time. As instructed, I did I just that and the ER ran a bunch of tests and confirmed the DVT, massive blood clot throughout my entire right leg, pulmonary embolisms in both lungs and a clot in my heart leading to cardiac strain and pressure.

They proceeded with a catheterization procedure to get to my heart to break up the clot so I didn’t go into cardiac arrest, and have been treating me with blood thinners and several tests and ultrasounds.

When I leave the hospital, I have a long road to recovery with several weekly visits for blood tests and treatments, daily blood thinners, and work with a hematologist to determine the cause as I’ve always been really healthy and the extent of the clotting in my body is so severe that we’re all baffled.

The good news is that my heart is already doing so much better after the procedure. The bad news is that my body is in a really fragile state for awhile.

This of course all happened during a transitional time where Shaun is carrying the weight of supporting us in the infancy of opening a business and still in the red, and I now have massive hospital bills. I always hate asking for help, but I think right now I can be totally clear that I need it. I’m alive, and wasn’t sure about that these last few days, so I’m looking on the bright side. I could just use your support in any way possible right now. Truly truly grateful for however you can help. My sweet little badass, unrelenting heart and I thank you.
