I'm truly heartbroken to share that my daughter Jessica recently lost nearly everything in a devastating electrical fire that started on the first floor of her three-family house in Boston—a building connected to adjoining apartments of the same kind. The fire was intense enough that the Boston Fire Department had to blow out all the windows and cut holes in the walls to contain it, allowing thick smoke to permeate every corner and destroy most of her belongings through heavy smoke damage. Tragically, she had no renter's insurance, and while the landlord is required to provide only minimal relocation assistance (up to $750), that falls far short of what's needed. Now, Jessica faces the overwhelming task of replacing essentials like clothing, furniture, bedding, and kitchen items—all ruined by pervasive smoke—while also covering the high costs of relocating in Boston, where rent averages $2,300 a month, along with moving expenses and setting up a new home from scratch. We're hoping to raise $15,000 to help ease this enormous burden and get her back on her feet. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and for rallying around Jessica during this incredibly difficult time.
