Rally for Jenn: Ongoing Care and Recovery

Donation protected
To know Jenn is to adore Jenn for sure, GoFundMe set up with permission from her husband Cody and with encouragement from other leaders on the Marketers Cruise where Jenn was injured during an ATV excursion in St. Martin and required emergency surgery on both ankles. Jenn is the owner and magic behind Formula Done, a marketing and ops agency and works for my company as well as others, she'll be creating brilliance again soon Im sure, but will need extensive rehab and time before its known when her other loves will be possible. She's an avid sour dough bread baking, hiking and travel foodie living in Idaho with her awesome husband Cody and their pups. Lets get her home and ready for what's next...
Several Leaders have come together and created a gift bundle of business resources and services now valued over $48K for anyone donating $1K or more - Thank you to the 9 donors so far that have contributed and taken advantage of this win-win-win generosity of so many...

While on the Marketers Cruise and during an ATV excursion on St. Martin Jenn ran into the back of the ATV I was driving and flipped and was thrown off. While we are grateful it was not worse, Jenn was badly injured and suffered two category 4 fractured ankles and tore her left foot open at the ankle and required emergency surgery to save her foot and set the bones. She will require medical transport back to Idaho and 1 possibly 2 more surgeries to reconnect muscle and ligaments either immediately on return or over the next several months. I stayed back with Jenn in St Martin to be her advocate and because we dont leave friends behind. There is going to be a long road to recovery but we are optimistic and praying and planning for a complete healing. Clearly unexpected there is insurance that will help AND there are both immediate and long term expenses to address that we can support not covered. We are hoping to get Jenn off the island and back to Idaho and me back to meet the ship and my son in Orlando by Sunday and will know more with updates from the doctors and coordination and funds required tomorrow.

Updates added as available...
Update Wednesday 1/22
Small infection in Jenn's left foot/ankle and some clean up needed around the pins/bars set in that side. She went in for that surgery about an hour ago. The right side will need another surgery as well in the upcoming days and the thought is that the doctors in Idaho will have a better idea of treatment plan and timeline over the next few days. Celebrating every progress!!

Update Tuesday 1/21 Medical Transport to Idaho Facility- in air all day

Update Saturday 1/18
Its confirmed she will require medical transport from St. Martin to Idaho where the Orthopedic Surgeon there will take over. At this time we are keeping positive thoughts for all abilities to be possible and a complete healing. Everything seemed to come together this afternoon so I left the island on the last plane out and Cody, Jenn's husband is set to arrive tomorrow and will travel with her back to Idaho on Monday or Tuesday. Yeah progress!!! The Go Fund Me Gift Bundle is now over $35k for anyone donating over $1k and is an incredible collection of the best of the best!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

Update Friday 1/17
Jenn is so incredibly grateful and appreciative of all here and you'll be hearing from her soon. We are still working with all the powers that be to get her back to the states and it will require a medical transport. Progress and celebrating all the wins. Several leaders have also come together to create a Gift Bundle for all that donate $1000 or more!! Update: Thursday night 1/16
Our girl Jenn a trooper, doctor pleased with surgery, no infection today, working with insurances, Orthopedic doc in idaho and locals for possible medical transport late tomorrow or Saturday. She was in great pain as imagined today but more manageable in last hour or two. Missing everyone on the Marketers Cruise and appreciating all the love and messages of support.

Sore in my shoulders and arms but no whiplash or neck injury for me, another blessing! Shes settled for night, im in an hotel nearby and back in am.

Update: Thursday midday 1/16
Here at hospital with Jenn last few hours. Nurses pleased with progress. Working through admin/insurance/family/next steps. Doctor will update in afternoon whether days or a week here before transport home for next surgery. Shes a trouper and all 10 toes wiggle ❤ sharing pics with her permission. Thank you to all that have reached out. Ive shared with Jenn and were both incredibly grateful for the love and prayers.

Update: Late Wednesday 1/15
Just off phone with nurse and Jenn. Surgery went well and the concern of saving her foot is passed. So grateful for the work of the EMTs and Dr. Mourtada here in St. Martin Hospital.

Need to chat doc in am but maybe a week here to heal before able to fly and another surgery in states as both ankles category 4 fractures and so many stitches needed for left foot. Long road ahead, and singing praises for even a small win! More when known, but this is good news. Shes in good spirits and on good painkillers.

MCers, many of you have heard that Jenn Neal had an accident on the ATV excursion. Heres an update. It is serious AND doctors seemed positive of surgery outcome. I can call for update around 10:30, docs estimated 3-4 hours of surgery. Both ankles fractured/broken and left foot torn at ankle. Jenn is a rockstar and the ship, immigration, the local tour agent, the police, compass tours and capt lous team all in the know and facilitated last few hours to get her to hospital, get her hubby in the know, get us registered off the ship, through immigration so ship could leave, get her belongings, and get my son settled as a minor with a guardian.

Im here with Jenn and can go back to hospital at 9am. Its a surgery ward so i couldnt stay there, but im close to her in a hotel. They gave me a direct line to call in a couple of hours.

Jenn ran into back of my atv as we were stopping (discovered mine had no rear brake lights...) at a pretty good speed and went left, rolled and thrown back. Thankful it wasnt worse and standing in prayer and praise for the emt team and the doctors for skilled hands and healing wisdom. Will update when news of the surgery.
