Rally for Jen Coleman: Urgent Medical and Financial Support

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

I am a colleague and friend of Jen for 13 years, I’m asking for your help during a very challenging time for someone very dear to all of us. Jen Coleman, a devoted wife and mother of three, friend, coworker, family member, nurse, nursing instructor and certified health coach dedicated to helping those battling weight issues, is someone that everyone who knows her knows is normally bubbling over with energy, optimism, passion for her work, and a desire to encourage others.

As everyone knows, Jen has been courageously battling cancer the past couple of years (currently in remission) and faced each step of treatment with positivity, courage, and hope. But now, she is facing extremely serious and unexpected complications caused by some of the medications she has to take and is currently hospitalized and in need of serious care and ongoing support. It’s been very difficult seeing someone who is so energetic and positive look so weak and defeated. She’s not weak and she isn’t defeated, but it’s taking every ounce of strength right now to battle through this current setback, and we want to help lessen the burden. She has also discovered during this hospital stay a new spot found on her lung; this is in addition to three suspicious spots on her thyroid that need further testing but have been put on hold due to this latest setback.

Her husband, John, is doing everything he can to hold the family together while caring for their children and being by Jen’s side. But the emotional and financial strain is growing heavier by the day.

We are rallying together to raise funds to help Jen and her beautiful family stay afloat during this crisis. Jen has lost a significant portion of her income due to being out of work. With this setback, she will now be delayed in returning to work as soon as she expected.

Medical costs, specialized treatment, and follow-up care not covered by insurance.

Living expenses, childcare, and household needs while she is away from work.
