Rally for Jayson: Urgent Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Hello All!
We are reaching out for help in order to financially support our brother Jayson Richardson.
Jayson is 44 and a single father raising three children. On December 20th he underwent urgent Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG).
Our brother is very active and always moving! Seeing the sudden change in his health has been difficult.
Jayson experienced fatigue and high blood pressure over the last few months and subsequent chest pain while snorkeling during our recent visit. We went directly to the ER and things escalated quickly over the last 2 and a half weeks. After an echocardiogram, carotid artery ultrasound, CT angiogram and invasive angiogram his only option was an urgent open heart surgery to prevent a heart attack. He has been found to have hereditary hyperlipemia and hypercholesterolemia, which has caused seven blockages including his left anterior descending (LAD) artery.

After is surgery, he spent six days in the cardiovascular ICU. He is now home but cannot be left alone for 2 weeks and will unable to drive for 6 weeks. Myself and my sister, Micah, will be flying back and forth to south Florida to share in his care and support for him and he children during this time.
Jayson does not have health insurance. We are looking at cost of pre-procedure testing, 5 inpatient days, 6 ICU days, follow up visits, plus the actual cost of the triple bypass. I cannot fathom the financial burden he will be under. We ask for help and appreciate any amount you can spare.
