Dear friends, family, colleagues, and well-wishers,
We’re reaching out to ask for your help and support for Jay Simmons, a loving husband, devoted father, and a cherished friend - who is currently battling advanced liver failure.
His health has reached a critical point: the disease has taken a devastating toll on his body, but not his spirit. Despite the pain and fatigue, Jay continues to face each day with courage.
Today (Sat June 20) we received life-changing news: Jay has officially been placed on the liver transplant evaluation list at USC Keck Medical Center, and has been transported there while he waits for approval and (hopefully) a matching donor organ.
As you can imagine, this brings us tremendous hope, but it also means we must have temporary housing near the hospital for family to be with him, while other loved ones are ready to relocate immediately when the call comes. Between temporary housing near the hospital, last-minute travel, lost wages, and ongoing medical expenses, the financial burden has become overwhelming.
We know times are hard for many, and asking for help is never easy. Any amount you can contribute, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference for Jay and his family. Your kindness, support, and prayers are deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for standing with Jay , Jamie, Taylor, and Logan as they walk this challenging road. Together, we can help lighten their load and give them hope for brighter days ahead.
