Hello family and friends from around the country. I have never done this before, but believe strongly this is for a great cause!
Folks who know me should know about my younger brother Jay Carson. First of all, he would never ask for help as he never has, no matter what he is going through! For folks that don’t know, Jay is a multiple many times over cancer survivor. His first encounter with the horrible disease was when he was only 12 years old. Then in his early 20s, he had colon cancer followed by Hodgkin's in 1994, which came back in 1996. The second time around, it was stage 4, and doctors gave him not long to live and told him to get his affairs in order. After a short time to ponder on the news, he stopped his planning for the end and started his plans to not give up!
Jay was able to stump the doctors, who in fact wrote a medical paper on Jay, as he was able to beat cancer 4 times by the time he was 26.
Since then, Jay has had one battle after another with a variety of other cancers, which the list is too long to write. Besides cancer, he has dealt with chronic migraines for most days he is awake. Then in 2017, Jay was diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
As a Christian and fighter, he always comes out as a champ! He is the strongest person I know, and believe me, I have been around this world for many years and know a lot of folks, but strongly believe this to be true!
Jay is the first to ask you “how you are?” and always tells you everything is good with him. He seems to give his shirt off his back to so many as that is just how he has always been!
Jay’s last cancer treatment involved Mustard Gas, which cured him of his cancer but messed up his lungs, having to deal with oxygen to breathe most of the time.
Jay has been undergoing tests for over a year, and it now looks like Jay has lung cancer. They believe they have caught it soon enough and they can remove it without chemo and radiation.
Things are a bit overwhelming with all the appointments, co-pays, and deductibles for the biopsies and surgery plans, plus all the CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, and a PET scan. But of course, Jay is taking this once again with an amazing attitude even on his hard days!
We would like to ask for assistance for Jay to help him out with some expenses for co-pays, living expenses, and anything else he needs help with.
If you are able to help Jay and can give anything, as it all adds up and would be helpful. Plus, please keep Jay in your prayers as I know prayers have pulled him through many times!
God Bless and Thanks!
