DEFINITELY Not Out of the Woods Yet—BUT We Have a MIRACLE

Jared & Michelle received wonderful news recently when the scan showed the cancer is GONE. That in itself is a miracle, BUT he is not out of the woods yet and has to continue to undergo aggressive high-dose treatments so that he will be rid of it forever.

While the actual cancer is gone, other issues have developed, and the bills remain and are increasing,

As we all know, chemo itself is a poison and affects the whole body, and it has attacked Jared, affecting him both physically and mentally.
He cannot get around well due to leg pain and can’t mentally concentrate as well as he used to. He has lost almost 100 pounds in a short period of time but seems to be at a point where he is maintaining and not losing at the rapid rate he was.

The doctors ran an MRI which revealed the cause of his back and leg pain. They could actually view spinal cord between L5 S1. This means he will have to undergo back surgery after completing his chemo treatments and also deal with the bone-on-bone issue in his hips.
When those surgeries are completed, he will have to undergo a heart cath after completing chemo.

Unfortunately, he lost both his job and his insurance coverage, a problem that affects so many with cancer. All of his prescriptions have to be paid for out of pocket since he no longer has insurance.
Jared & his family are so very grateful for all the help they have received and the prayers that brought about this miracle but do continue to need your help. They are so grateful to the amazing Princeton Deaconess Oncology Department staff who have been so friendly and have helped with every question and with insurance.
Please continue to donate if you can and definitely PRAY. It will be PAID FORWARD!

Update:
Please continue your prayers for Jared's recovery. He is facing a long-term process, but we are DETERMINED that he WILL beat Hodgkins.
Jared is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy with severe side effects. Some of his medications are causing troublesome side effects.
He will undergo a CAT scan on September 4.
The car has been repaired, but gas money is still precious!
If you can donate to help support him financially, thank you and bless you. If you can't afford to, please continue to pray and also share the link for the GoFundMe.

Jared M. Birch has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and may have to begin radiation in a few weeks. He served as a volunteer fireman in Hazelton for over 30 years and ran his own construction company. He is currently unable to work, and finances have become a major issue for him and his family.

To make matters worse, the alternator in their car went out yesterday after his treatment, and now they have to borrow relatives' and friends' vehicles so that he can get to his needed treatments. AFLAC is not following through with what they expected to help with medical expenses, so Jared and his family would appreciate any financial help possible, along with any prayers for healing.
