My mom, Janet Walker, has been battling pancreatic cancer (it was stage 1B when they found it) since September 19, 2024. She went through rounds of chemo and radiation, but nothing shrunk the tumor like we’d hoped it would.
Just recently, in late May, she thought she had pulled a muscle in her back at work. The pain kept progressively getting worse, and after a trip to the ER, she was told it was a broken vertebra. Her doctor ordered an MRI, and on June 9, we discovered the cancer had spread to her spine. By June 20, she had lost her ability to walk. This past week, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to start hospice care.
My dad hasn’t been working so he can stay home to take care of her. The bills are starting to add up and add stress to the situation that is already stressful. My dad would appreciate any donations to help with bills so we all can continue to help my mother. My dad hates asking for help, but for the first time, he’s said he’d appreciate help.
