On the evening of Friday May 9, Jamie was in a terrible car accident. A pick up truck pulled out in front of her, cutting her off. Unfortunately, she was unable to stop in time and T-Boned him. In the vehicle with her were her 2 young granddaughters. Both girls were okay and home by the next morning. Jamie, however, was not so lucky. She sustained a broken femur, 2 crushed knee caps, as well as a broken foot and ankle. They have already preformed one (6 hour surgery) on her femur and knees. The surgery for her ankle and foot is scheduled for May 27th, once the swelling has gone down. Once the surgeries are complete she will be moved to a rehab facility for 3 months, for physical therapy to walk again. Her insurance is only covering 25 days of this lengthy stay, the rest will need to be paid out of pocket. Because of this accident and the surgeries and hospital stay she is unable to work. We are hoping to get some help from friends and loved ones in order to keep her bills paid and any other essentials that she might need.
