Rally for Jake: Aid His Fight to Recover
Donation protected
Last weekend (weekend of 2/15) one of our own (soccer family) Jake suffered a devastating and life-threatening injury during a soccer match. What should have been a friendly game turned into a nightmare when an aggressive player —struck Jake with force using their knee, directly impacting his collarbone.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and assessed Jake’s condition. They soon realized something was terribly wrong—he had no pulse in his right arm. This alarming sign prompted an urgent rush to the hospital. There, doctors immediately performed surgery, inserting a stent to repair the carotid artery. Since then, Jake has been fully sedated, relying on a ventilator and feeding tube to sustain him.
Unfortunately, his road to recovery is uncertain and fraught with challenges. He continues to develop hematomas, raising serious concerns among his medical team. They are now considering opening his chest for further intervention, though they fear his body may not be strong enough to endure another major surgery. Tomorrow will bring another critical assessment to determine the next steps in his care.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to help support Jake in his recovery. The costs of medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing treatment will be immense, and his family needs our help now more than ever.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in his fight to heal and reclaim his life. Let’s rally together and show Jake and his family they are not alone in this battle.
Thank you for your kindness, and generosity. Please pray that he makes healing progress.
