Help Jack Fight Osteosarcoma
This summer, 15-year-old Jack's life changed forever when what seemed like growing pains turned into a devastating diagnosis: Osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer.
Jack's Journey
When Jack first complained of pain in his right leg, his mom Adrian thought it was just growing pains. But as the pain intensified over the following week, they knew something was seriously wrong. X-rays and scans revealed a tumor in Jack's right leg, and within days, he was admitted to oncology at Primary Children's Hospital.
Jack underwent surgery to have a port placed and a bone biopsy performed. The results confirmed every parent's worst nightmare: Osteosarcoma. Since his diagnosis, this brave young man has endured numerous surgeries, spent weeks in the hospital, and faced aggressive chemotherapy treatments with remarkable courage.
A Devastating Setback
Despite Jack's fighting spirit and grueling treatments, the most recent scan delivered heartbreaking news—the tumor has doubled in size. The chemotherapy hasn't worked. Jack is now scheduled for emergency surgery this week to remove the tumor, which will require the amputation of his leg.
After this major surgery, Jack faces a long road ahead with rehabilitation and continued chemotherapy treatments.
A Mother's Impossible Choice
As any parent would, Adrian needs to be by her son's side during the most frightening time of his young life. Jack needs his mom now more than ever—for every appointment, every surgery, every difficult moment. This has made it nearly impossible for Adrian to maintain steady work and contribute to household expenses during this crisis.
The mounting medical bills, travel costs to and from the hospital, and everyday living expenses have created an overwhelming financial burden at a time when this family should only have to focus on Jack's healing.
How You Can Help
Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial strain on Jack's family so Adrian can focus on what matters most—being there for her son.
Your generosity will help cover:
- Household living expenses while Adrian cares for Jack
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- Travel and lodging costs for hospital visits
- Rehabilitation and prosthetic costs after surgery
- Ongoing treatment costs
Jack is a fighter, and with your support, this family won't have to fight this battle alone.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Every share, every donation, every kind word means the world to Jack and his family.
