Justin, Kendall, and Haylin are facing a long and challenging road ahead. As they navigate through a difficult season involving medical needs, time off work, and the day-to-day costs of living, we want to come together as a community to support them.
The financial burden—rising medical bills, food expenses, and lost income—is growing. If you feel led to contribute in any way, your donation would mean the world to them. Every gift, no matter the size, is a true blessing and a reminder that they are not alone in this.
We’ve shared the most recent updates from Facebook to keep everyone informed. Most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers for strength, healing, and peace.
Thank you for standing with this incredible family during their time of need.
Update from Facebook:
There is a Cincinnati Children’s doctor who is well known for doing intricate spinal cord surgeries. He just landed back in Cincinnati this morning, and they have shared Haylin’s case with him. We have been told that he is confident in doing her surgery and is going to resect as much of the tumor as he can with neuro monitoring to make sure there is no damage to her at all.
This is a major surgery where they will have to move her spine and enter her spinal cord.
Surgery is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday. It will start around 9 am and will likely last up into the evening.
She will be in ICU laying flat for at least 3 days.
Then she will probably be an inpatient here for 4-6 weeks because she will get therapy several times a day. She will be much weaker after surgery, but should regain strength plus.
She will be in a neck collar for 3-6 months.
While this is so, so scary, it’s also an answer to our prayers. We had been told there was no way to remove any, just enough for a biopsy, and she would need chemotherapy to shrink it even if it was non-cancerous. Now he said it might not even need chemotherapy depending on how much they can safely remove.
We will know for sure if it's Wednesday after we get to meet with the neurosurgeon tomorrow, but his partner said he is pretty sure.
Specific prayers -
Pray for the surgeon, his hands, and his entire team on Wednesday.
Pray for a safe surgery for Haylin.
Pray for an easy recovery for our precious girl!
