My name is Jacque Espinosa and I am heading this fundraising in support of my Uncle Greg Suniga. First and foremost, I'd love to introduce you to him :) Greg is a dog-loving, family supporting, former volleyball playing, CSU (Colorado State University) alumnus. He loves cheering on the CSU volleyball and football teams and supporting his community. Most importantly, he is a genuine, warm, and compassionate individual beloved by friends and family.

In August 2023, Greg fell ill and, after several doctor's appointments, found that he had pancreatic cancer. He jumped into treatment, undergoing chemotherapy for several months after finding that the cancer has metastasized into his lungs, stomach, and intestines. In April 2025, he rang the bell signifying that he was cancer-free.

But, his journey didn't end there. Due to the nature of his illness, he needed to undergo a risky and intensive surgery called Whipple surgery to remove part of his stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, and intestines. As of May 6th, 2025, after an 8 hour and 40 minutes surgery, he is onto his next challenge: recovery followed by a second surgery to remove a portion of his lung.

After months of finding ways to budget hospital stays, treatment, and doctor's appointments, I knew it was time to find a way to help Greg shoulder some of this journey. For that, I'd love your support! If you are able to contribute to our GoFundMe to help Greg, I know he would be SO appreciative. We also believe in the power of positivity! If you are not able to contribute, but have a prayer, encouraging thought, or good vibe to send his way, we would be so grateful for that as well.
