Recently, our dearest friend and sister, Georgiana, received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer, just a few months after celebrating her 50th birthday. Georgiana is an extraordinary person—an amazing friend and a loving human being who is always ready to help those in need, with a smile that brightens even the darkest of days.

An active and dedicated member of the Romanian community, Georgiana contributes tirelessly to organizing various events, whether at the Romanian church or elsewhere. Her generosity extends beyond the community—she is the primary caretaker for her elderly mother and also supports her in-laws.

In addition to her kindness, Georgiana is an exceptional cook. She constantly experiments with new recipes, and everything she creates is simply delicious! Her traditional Romanian holiday sweet bread is unmatched—it’s the best we’ve ever had.

Georgiana and her husband, Adi, are proud parents of two wonderful boys—one in high school and another soon-to-be teenager. Being a mom to these two amazing kids is a full-time job, especially during this pivotal time in their lives as they grow into young adults.

Tragically, Georgiana and her family’s life was upended by the diagnosis. In just a short time, she has undergone countless medical tests and is set to begin chemotherapy this December. The burden of multiple medical appointments has led to mounting bills, adding to the challenges they are already facing.

We had the joy of seeing her on Thanksgiving Day, and even amid this overwhelming journey, Georgiana still had her signature smile. However, behind her brave face, we can only imagine the weight on her heart.
