Rally for George Parker: Medical Aid Needed
Donation protected
Hello lovely world, I'm here to tell you about my partner, George Parker.
George has had some ongoing medical problems for over five years now that have led to him being unable to work for the past six months as everything has suddenly progressed to worse. We finally have an answer but not the full results yet. He had an MRI done that shows a mass which means a 2.3 cm left cerebellopontine mass without restricted diffusion, most likely a meningioma or nerve sheath tumor. He has another MRI on the 8th of Oct. to focus on that area and see what exactly it is.
George has gone through and continues to progressively get worse symptoms like seizures (these are happening several times a day), hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo, headaches, and gait dysfunction. This all means he can't walk well, talk well half the time, find words, shake uncontrollably, fall, and suffer from insomnia.
This is a very vulnerable time for George as he has always been so full of energy and vibrant with life. He has been a very big part of the men's community and the planning of The North Coast Men's Gathering (https://www.northcoastmensgathering.org/) for over 20 years. He has been a part of the men's counseling community. His life has been about teaching others that life is what we make of it and that sometimes we need help finding ourselves. Teaching men that it's okay to have emotions and to express them in a non-violent manner. George has touched many lives in Humboldt County and beyond.
Let's please come together for George and show him what he believes, that it takes a village! We have a mortgage and of course other bills to pay. I, myself, as his partner for 17 years, am permanently disabled, in severe 24/7 pain, and cannot work to make ends meet! Any little bit helps to get us by, as we don't know where things are going from here. It all depends on the next MRI.
