Rally for Ethan: ICU and Recovery Support
Donation protected
My name is Brittany. The day before yesterday, I received a devastating call that a very good friend, Ethan, suffered a stroke. Most people who see this know or know of Ethan and Jo, the amazing, welcoming, and fun-loving couple. When we see them, it's usually Jo dancing her heart out while Ethan is DJ'ing. They both put time, effort, and money into having fun events for all to enjoy.
On the other side of all the fun, Ethan is a Cardiothoracic Surgery PA and the primary income source. Right now, Ethan is still currently in the ICU, undergoing tests and trying to get answers, most of which are still unknown. They are closely monitoring the swelling in his brain and he is paralyzed on his left side. Doctors are hopeful the paralyzation will not be permanent, but they cant say how much or when he will regain movement. They have no idea how long he will be in the hospital, how intense recovery and rehabilitation will be, and if/when he will be able to return to work. Once he is released from the hospital he will most likely be "admitted" to a neuro center, where they will begin rehab to try and get his brain to reconnect the pathways to gain usage back on his left side. These sorts of medical bills on top of everyday living expenses add up quickly and can become crippling, especially with the loss of their primary income source.
That being said, I truly hope our friends and community can rally behind them and help in any way we can. All donations will go directly to Ethan and Jo. If you know them, you probably know they would likely cripple themselves in silence trying to survive. They deserve better than that!! They both have a long road ahead. If you're able to help please donate to relieve some of the financial stress, and give them time to focus on Ethan healing and recovering. Any amount helps. If you can't donate, please share.
